Biite is a food and hospitality platform dedicated to finding the spaces and experiences in LA worth showing up for. Hotel Lucile is a boutique hotel in Silver Lake built inside a restored 1931 church and rectory — the architecture still intact, the pews replaced, the light unchanged. The restaurant inside is Sous Sous, a Southern-inspired dining room and bar. The concept for this film was built around the building's history: the ritual of getting dressed, arriving, being welcomed in, and sitting down — everything that going to church asks of you, directed instead toward a meal. The joke is never explained. Neither is the reverence. onionkid Studio directed and produced.
